Shades that fit the window,
and the room it’s in.
Stephen Pollack brings the samples to your house, measures every opening properly, and comes back to hang them himself. No showroom, no salesman, no guessing what a fabric will look like in your own light.
- Free in-home consultation
- Measured to the sixteenth
- Cordless & child-safe
- Installed and cleaned up
He comes to you
Samples, measuring and the quote all happen in your house, anywhere in the tri-state area. There is no showroom to drive to.
One person, start to finish
The man who measures is the man who installs. Nothing gets lost between a salesman and a subcontractor.
He picks up the phone
Running late, a shade sticking, one more window two years later — you call the same number and get the same person.
What we make
Every kind of shade, made to your measurements
Eight families of window treatment, each one better at something different. If you are not sure which yours needs, that is exactly what the consultation is for.

Finished jobs will appear here as they are photographed. In the meantime, book a consultation and see the samples in person.
How it goes
Six steps, about three weeks
Nothing here is a surprise, which is rather the point.
01
A call, then a visit
Tell us roughly what you have — how many windows, which rooms, what is bothering you about them now. Then we come to you, with samples, at a time that suits. The consultation is free and there is no obligation.
02
Samples in your own light
Fabric looks different in a showroom than it does on your window at four in the afternoon. We hold the options up in the actual room, in the actual light, and narrow it down together.
03
Measured properly
Every window gets measured to the sixteenth, top, middle and bottom — almost no opening in a real house is square. You get a written quote before anything is ordered.
04
Made for your windows
Your order goes to the workroom and is cut to your measurements. Most orders take two to three weeks; we will tell you the date, and call you if it moves.
05
Installed and cleaned up
We hang everything, adjust it until it runs true, show you how it works, and take the packaging away with us. Nothing is left for you to deal with.
06
Still here afterwards
If something sticks, sags or stops working, call. Most problems are a ten-minute adjustment, and we would rather come back and fix it than have you live with it.
