What we do with your details

When you fill in the contact form: your name, and whichever of an email address and a phone number you gave us, plus the town and what you wrote.

When we book a job: the same, plus your address, what we are installing, what it costs and what you have paid. Notes either of us adds to the appointment.

When you leave a review: the name you want shown, your town, the review, any photos, and — if you gave one — an email address so we can tell you when it is published. Your email address is never shown on the site.

When you join the mailing list: your email address, and where you signed up from.

We use it to turn up at the right house at the right time, to remind you before we do, to take payment, and to be able to match a shade three years from now when you want one more.

Reminders go by email and text — you choose nothing about that at sign-up because it is part of the job, but every one carries a link to change or cancel the appointment, and you can tell us to stop at any point.

Marketing email is separate and entirely optional. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect anything to do with an actual appointment.

Four companies, each doing one job and none of them getting more than that job needs:

• Vercel hosts the site and stores the database and any photos.
• Resend sends the email.
• Twilio sends the text messages.
• Stripe handles card payments. Your card number goes to Stripe directly and never touches this site — we see only that a payment succeeded and for how much.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and there is no advertising network on this site.

One, and only if you sign in: a cookie that remembers it is you. It holds nothing but an account reference and a signature, and it expires on its own.

The mailing-list popup remembers in your own browser that it has already asked you, so that it does not do it again. That never leaves your device.

There is no analytics or tracking on this site.

Job records for as long as you might plausibly want another window matched — in practice, indefinitely, because that is the point of keeping them. Enquiries that never became a job, a couple of years. Mailing list entries until you unsubscribe.

This is a site for buying window shades. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
